The monies raised during the 2009 MLR Open will be donated to the Young Survival
Coalition. YSC was started in 1998 by 3 women who were under the age of 35 when
diagnosed with breast cancer. They were discouraged by the lack of information and
resources available to young women and the under-representation of young women in
breast cancer research.
The Young Survival Coalition is the premier international organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women with breast cancer. They work with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women diagnosed with breast cancer ages 40 and under.
