Michelle Levison Rosch was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer  in February 2008, 2 weeks after her 27th birthday and 8 months pregnant with her first child.  Due to the aggressive nature of her cancer, she delivered her son Aiden 1 month early and had a double mastectomy 1 week later. The doctors informed her she is estrogen positive and would risk the cancer returning if she had anymore children.  Her sister-in-law April offered to carry her next child, so she immediately started receiving daily hormone shots and harvested her eggs a few days before her chemo treatments started.

During the summer of 2008, Michelle received 6 chemo treatments followed by 7 weeks of daily radiation.  While caring for her newborn son, Michelle suffered from nauseous from her chemotherapy and watched her hair fall out.

As 2009 began, she had a preventative hysterectomy, (causing her to start menopause at age 28) and had her first breast reconstruction surgery 3 weeks later -- all before Aiden's first birthday.

Michelle is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Missouri.  She currently resides in Naperville, Illinois, with her husband, Mike, and her 2 year old son, Aiden.
